A Little About Us

Adolph Zampogna came to this country from Italy, and began his plumbing business in 1941. His son worked alongside him for many years before venturing on to work in heating and air conditioning, before moving on to Stanley Magic Door. Besides working on entrance doors, he began to install and service balers. In 1971 he struck out on his own, which became Zampogna Inc.

Under Sonny’s leadership, Zampogna continued to grow, selling and servicing balers, compactors, and dock equipment. In 1989 Alex Dumot joined him to handle the day to day operations. During 1992, they saw there was a need for shopping cart services, and Jack Kirchartz, with 20 years of experience in that area was brought onboard. Zampogna Carts was established in 1993, offering both new and reconditioned carts, as well as rentals carts, handicap carts and baby seats.

Further expansion occurred in 2000 with the opening of a full-service facility and warehouse in the Cleveland area. Growth was rapid, and 3 years later another branch facility was opened to service the Columbus region. All 3 branches now service our 2600 customer database in the Tri-State area with our fleet of 26 service and installation trucks.

Zampogna works with a wide range of businesses, from those in the grocery and retail industry to industrial accounts to find custom solutions for their individual needs.  We employ electricians, fitters, combination welders and mechanics at our full service shop, which gives Zampogna a large range of design and fabrication capacities.
